About Us

The Arizona Humane Society is a nationally recognized animal welfare organization providing advanced medical and behavioral care through our Emergency Animal Medical Technician team and our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital. In addition, we operate a Kitten Intensive Care Unit (nursery), Parvo Puppy ICU, a full service public veterinary hospital and two spay/neuter/vaccine clinics. Our Veterinarians

Our veterinary team provides a wide range of services from preventive healthcare and spay/neuter services to advanced trauma procedures for public, community, and shelter animals. In addition, we support local law enforcement agencies in cases involving animal cruelty. We operate from two large campuses and additional offsite and mobile locations. Our medical staff work closely as a team managing a diverse and exciting case load.


Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor Degree and license to practice in Arizona or ability to obtain an AZ license.
Solid medical and surgical skills with a commitment to continuous learning.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment.
Desire to provide exceptional care and customer service.
Strong interest in shelter and community medicine.
Orthopedic and/or dental skills highly desirable.
