Dog Care Attendants are responsible for the overall care of all the animals within the shelter. Under the direction of the Animal Care Director, Dog Care Attendants provide for the continual care of the animals by walking the dogs, cleaning of cages, runs, outside yards and Meet and Greet areas as well as the proper feeding and care of all shelter animals. Responsibilities will vary based on the current needs of the shelter. Our adoptions team processes approximately 500 applications per month and 1000 adoptions per year. Management experience preferred as this position has one direct report on staff and a team of volunteers who are dedicated to helping Muddy Paws run smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is a cutting edge animal shelter which maintains a save rate of over 90%. We are building a new state of the art shelter which will be open by October 2020 but, we need a shelter veterinarian now !!! Prior high volume surgery is a plus.
