The shelter coordinator is responsible for the cat clean care staff and volunteers at the San Pedro location. This includes scheduling and overseeing shelter staff and volunteers. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist coordinating daily surgery, treatment schedules; perform pre-surgical duties, physical exams. Calculate, administer and record pre-anesthetic drugs; complete controlled drug logs. Monitor anesthesia. Perform, administer medical treatments. Operate radiology equipment. Perform dental cleanings, radiographs. Respond to emergency situations. Prep lab samples, evaluate in-house lab work. Perform daily health evaluations, scheduled treatments. Assist vets w/ daily rounds. Assist in care, treatment of animals in foster. Assist w/ euthanasia of shelter animals when needed.
Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
Assists shelter veterinarian in the Vet Clinic including medical treatments and exams, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and clinic cleaning and sanitizing. Also assist with vaccinations, deworming, medical and behavior evaluation of animals entering the shelter.
Location: Morrisville, Vermont
North Country Animal League seeks a veterinarian to join our staff who is eager to help homeless animals get a second chance at a forever home. The veterinarian of record will conduct high-quality medical care to shelter animals, including spay/neuter, and treatment plans for various medical conditions. As Vet of Record they will also be responsible for the overall health of all animals in our care and work closely with the Animal Health Manager to carry out medical care.

The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience with a veterinary practice or the equivalent. Prior experience in an animal sheltering setting is preferred, but not required.
