Target Audience

Animal sheltering and animal welfare professionals, emergency management, county officials and law enforcement in both SC and NC.

Course overview

This training will focus on shelters working with their county administrators to build, prepare, present and ultimately execute an effective disaster preparedness plans in order to safely evacuate animals and respond to emergency orders. After this “overview” meeting, HSUS will offer hands-on and in-community support for shelters and county emergency management to ensure the plan is effective for the specific needs of the community and the shelter.
