Job Description

The Augusta Regional SPCA is seeking an Executive Director to oversee and participate in the daily functions of the Shelter and Spay/Neuter Clinic. Duties will include, but not be limited to scheduling and supervising employees, oversight of animal care and adoption of animals, maintaining required documentation for the shelter and clinic as needed, preparing grant applications through various organizations, planning fundraising events, providing outreach to the communities served, assuring conformance to all necessary rules and regulations, maintaining relationships with other animal welfare facilities and organizations, and maintaining a positive working relationship with the Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate will have animal care, management, and fundraising experience. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to train with the current Executive Director.
This is a full-time salaried position with benefits, including paid vacation and holidays, health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plan. Starting salary range is $55,000 - $75,000, depending on qualifications. Weekends and evenings are required as needed.
