Mentorship Application

The HSUS's Pets for Life program and PetSmart Charities are teaming up again to offer mentorship and funding to five new organizations that want to implement a Pets for Life community outreach program.

Each organization selected will receive funding from PetSmart Charities and hands-on training from The HSUS. We will help you assess your community to identify an area of focus, develop strategies for understanding and reaching the desired audience, help you plan and execute successful community outreach, and implement a sustainable, long-term outreach program with a focus on spay/neuter.

Review the Pets for Life Community Outreach Toolkit, which will help you understand what the training will entail. All applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • Provide proof of public 501c3 status
  • Ability to dedicate staff time to conducting consistent, ongoing community outreach
  • Organizational revenue must be able to substantiate a $50,000 grant

Application deadline is 5:00 p.m. (EST), July 25, 2014
