Job Description

The Canine Outreach Coordinator (COC) is responsible for the cultivation and ongoing engagement with DPFL partners in order to further DPFL’s mission to maximize quality of life for all dogs while sheltered. The COC will develop and maintain relationships with Canine Center placement organizations, professional and layperson fosters, and other collaborative entities to expand DPFL programming and cultivate new opportunities for Canine Center graduates. The COC works closely with the Canine Center Florida (CCF) Behavior Manager, CCF Operations Manager, CEO, COO and CPO to cement DPFL’s work in the national animal welfare scene. This position will require up to 50% travel per month. Starting pay is $50,000-$55,000 annually, depending on experience.

Duties will include the following:
-Cultivates and maintains relationships with placement partners such as adoption centers and working dog programs
-Oversees CCF Intake Requests and facilitates all aspects of intake of individual dogs
-Develops, expands, and maintains a Foster Network and programming
-Works closely with CCF’s Behavior Manager for appropriate canine outcome opportunities
-Ensures the timely outcome of individual dogs that have completed training at CCF
-Completes Initial Reports and Final Reports for CCF dogs in a timely manner
-Travels to CCF, placement partner organizations, and other locations as needed
-Works with CPO and CCF Operations Manager to develop promotional, educational and support materials for Outcome placement
-Contributes to outcome resources and placement for CCF dogs
-Contributes pertinent statistics and data to measure efficacy of CCF Outcomes
-Continuously evaluates the efficacy of and generates reports to reflect the impact of current placements including serving as a key liaison with the development team to tell stories in order to promote DPFL
-Assists with Administrative tasks as assigned
-Performs other related duties as assigned
