This workshop will focus on reviewing humane and effective approaches while demonstrating how to employ commonly accessible items that can be used in capture and handling. The review and demonstrations will include techniques and approaches that can be applied to handling and capturing domestic animals, unsocialized or feral animals and wild animals. The session will include scenarios and challenges that attendees face in the field. The workshop will be participant-driven, with demonstrations and discussions to equip attendees for a broad range of scenarios they confront daily.

Humane Society International’s Global Animal Issues Track is tailored for attendees outside the United States. These sessions offer solution-based presentations for issues often seen in countries lacking significant animal welfare infrastructure or awareness.
