Care for and handle large breed dogs (Akitas) instead of paying rent! This position requires an experienced and committed dog caretaker willing to prioritize the dogs' needs. Required tasks include transporting, walking dogs, feeding, cleaning runs, administering medications, and grooming. You must be willing and able to perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a full time live-in position that provides shared housing, paid utilities, and a small cash stipend. Must pass background check and have valid driver's license. No smoking on property.

Keeping animals and people safe throughout the five boroughs is an essential function of ACC’s operations. The Animal Rescue Specialist is a community focused position responsible for helping promote a safe community for pets and wildlife, as well as citizens, by providing emergency animal rescue and response in all five boroughs. Under the direction of the field supervisor, they serve as the front line liaison between ACC and the community, delivering excellent customer service, compassionate animal care, and a top notch representation of who ACC is as an organization.

Position Summary: Responsible for transportation needs of the Lifesaving Center, including, but not limited to, picking up supplies and donations, driving animals to vet appointments, picking up intakes from municipal shelters, and long-distance transports. Also, responsible for overseeing general vehicle and building maintenance needs in coordination with the Support Services Manager.
